Dynamic Excitation for Welding Processes

Another application of the Piezoshaker-System is the use for excitation with acoustic and ultrasonic waves in the field of material processing and manufacturing technology, such as the welding of lightweight components used in the automotive industry. As a result of the directed introduction of vibrations during the welding process, the wave superposition leads to an improvement in the microstructure of the weld seam. The wide frequency bandwidth of the Piezoshaker System provides enhanced flexibility to adapt to different materials, which is an advantage over other systems that are limited to a small bandwidth with approximately a single frequency.
