VIC-3D High Speed
The VIC-3D HS™ system allows for measurement of very high speed events. As with all of our VIC-3D systems, surface displacements and strains can be measured in 3D. VIC-3D HS systems instead include two fully-integrated high speed cameras.
VIC-Streaming High Speed Stereo-System
The VIC-Streaming High Speed Stereo-System in combination with VIC-3D and VIC-FFT Modul can be used for Vibration Analysis, Operating Deflection Shapes and Dynamic Applications. The CoaxPress-12 interface of the cameras provides data transfer rates of up to 50 Gbit/s with 4 lanes. An example using cropped images with 0.3 MPX @ 5010 FPS provides a FFT analysis up to excited natural frequencies of 2.5 kHz without aliasing. The system is able to continuously stream to the internal SSD storage of the computer.
The VIC-software is compatible with high-speed cameras from leading brands such as Photron, Phantom, NAC and Shimadzu. The high-speed range covers frame rates of up to one million frames per second, whereas rates above this are usually categorised as ultra high speed (see below). The High Speed category already covers most high-speed events, such as blasts, high-speed tension and forming tests, operation vibration measurements, and modal analysis.

The VIC software directly supports the Ultra High Speed camera series from Photron (Pharsighted), Phantom TMX and Shimadzu. This covers not only a wide range of frame rates but also different performance, benefits and system cost.
