As we raised a toast to the New Year, we weren’t just clinking glasses – we were measuring their every vibration! With specially prepared champagne glasses (see image), we put our new fluorescent coating capabilities to the test with a full-field, VIC-3D operational vibration measurement.
Stay tuned and kick off the New Year with us by witnessing the transient impact of the champagne glasses in this exclusive VIC-Iris video.
We wish you a happy New Year 2025!
Details: This innovative setup features a fluorescent speckle coating perfectly matched to the wavelength of our high-performance Blue-X-Focus LED, combined with the new fluorescent calibration targets first introduced by Correlated Solutions Europe and isi-sys GmbH at IDICS 2024.
With exposure times of 10 µs and framerates at nearly 20 kHz using just one Blue-X-Focus LED, reflective or shiny surfaces even like glass, foils, and polished metal can now be measured with ease—no additional primers and no polarization filter required. The stroboscopic mode minimizes thermal distortions, ensuring precise results and a more comfortable working environment due to the reduced power compared to continuous light.
Fifteen years ago, we introduced our first operational vibration measurement using the VIC-FFT module. In 2024 this module was seamlessly integrated into the VIC-Iris Workspace of the new VIC-Version 10, empowering customers to visualize measurement results directly in videos and presentations such as already know from VIC Version 9. This new tool is used here for this Video.
