Vibro–Correlation System

A joint venture of LIMESS and isi-sys
 

The vibro–correlation systems contains turnkey measurement tools for vibration analysis using the forced normal mode excitation method. It can be applied e. g. in combination with laboratory shakers. It allows the measurement of all three surface displacement fields simultaneously. It works on non-planar surfaces and is not affected by large rigid body movements. Calibration is simple and quick.

For mobile applications the use of portable PC is optional. The camera hardware is selectable up to a high-end solution with major effect on the system price and technical aspects. This offers further options to modify the system after your requirements and budged.

The system includes the software Shearwin for image grabbing (stoboscopic module) management and the software package  Vic 3D for digital image correlation. The software package VIC is a product of Correlated Solutions Inc., USA. Shearwin is developed by isi-sys. LIMESS and isi-sys, Germany are European distributors and developing partners.

Vic 3 The digital image correlation module allows the measurement of full-field surface displacement fields (in-plane and out of plane). The method is easy to use, accurate and fast. It works on non-planar surfaces and is not affected by large rigid body movements. The Vic-3D software returns complete profile and deformation data in three dimensions, as well as surface strain. Detailed visualization and animation facilities are built in.

Shearwin is a specialised software tool for automatic and manual controlled performing and recording of interferometric (speckle) measurements. A selection of its comfortable tools is used here for camera control, trigger functions and image management.
