The Vibrography systems are based on the principles of Shearography/ESPI (please refer to testing principles and basic terms). They are specifically designed to measure and visualize periodic vibrations/oscillation. A significant advantage towards conventional ESPI systems is operation on industrial conditions without need for vibration isolation.
Deformation and vibration amplitudes can either be determined by the reference slab method (compare to Holography/ESPI) or a patented testing method by isi-sys which involves recording and intergration of shearographic detected deformation gradients and respectively displacement margins.
Realtime observation is enabled by time averaging and stroboscopic technology. Furthermore, quantitative interpretation is achieved by dynamic phase modulation and stroboscopic methods.
